I got sucked into making cookies and other things today so I didn't manage to make it to the gym even though I REALLY wanted to and my room is still a giant mess...
I have no idea what the gym schedule is but tomorrow is full of family, as is this evening.
So, despite intentions to the contrary, we're just calling these next two days a wash and will get back to it on Sunday. I'm not going to even claim to what I am going to eat because it's just pure gluttony. Enjoyable, fantastic, gluttony.
Merry Christmas to all!

Doing it wrong
Yesterday I ate leftover chicken enchilada casserole (aren't leftovers exciting?!) for lunch and chicken teriyaki/tempura combo at a Japanese joint by our house which means I also ate salad, miso soup, and white rice. I also drank a shit ton of cider and beer. And by shit ton I mean...8 pints-ish. I took the dog for a fifteen minute walk but that's all the exercising I did.
Today I had every intention of going to the gym but it's 8:30 at night and I don't see that happening. So no exercise. Will go when I wake up tomorrow but all this holiday stuff! I have taken on quite a bit in the kitchen.
I had the leftover sausage and noodles for lunch, four Triscuits, and an omelette with cheese, bacon, sauteed onions, and avocado for dinner with a side of fries. I also drank my first Dr Pepper in two days.
I need to clean my room and get my act together before everyone comes over here on Christmas Day.

Not full of win
Today. God I hate to admit to today but that's the point of this so:
McDonald's chicken nuggets, fries, and a Dr Pepper.
Handful of Triscuits
2 cookies. (Holiday bake-a-thon 2010!)
A 1/4 of a lobster dipped in butter
Slice and a half of homemade meatloaf with ketchup
Tater tots dipped in ranch. Oh, which led my brother to go "You put ranch on EVERYTHING. Can you go a day without eating ranch?" First of all: Not true. It goes on wings, fries sometimes, salad, and crudites. That's it. Secondly, hey asshat, you go without beer for a week and get back to me, mkay?
Steamed broccoli spears
And I am currently sitting on my bed eating mini swedish fish that I bought to put in other people's stockings. Whatevs.
Did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes on the treadmill. My freaking iPod died at the 55 minute mark even though I just charged it and the thought of doing another half an hour without music in my ear was more than I could bear. So we cut it short. Grumble.
Tomorrow we'll go harder. (If at all, actually, I have plans to go out tomorrow night. I'd kinda like to cancel those plans but have also been anti-social as of late so I'm not sure...)

Some Days
It's 8 p.m. and I want to go to bed like NOW. So we're, as mentioned, skipping the gym tonight. Trainer tomorrow. Maybe some cardio as well at the gym. Some days you just can't drag yourself. Not that I'm particularly for it today. If I had to, I could. (I swear! I could!)
Today I had the leg and thigh from a costco roast chicken, with leftover roasted potatoes reheated in olive oil covered in chicken gravy (homemade, natch), and roast carrots. That was lunch.
Proud of myself for making a day without Dr Pepper, it is my vice.
I did however have four of these cookies that I made. I'm usually not a sweet tooth person, I worship much more at the altar of the starch than the sweet, but these? They're freaking good. Buttery and crumbly and tasty with the right amount of crunch from the sprinkles. Delish! I will be making another batch or three for holiday bake-a-thon 2010! But, ya know, gotta stop eating the cookies.
For dinner we had chicken enchilada casserole. I had two helpings. And a ton of salad that had the house dressing from the House of Prime Rib on it. (I don't mean this thing to be food porn but, ya know, we eat well. Probably too well.)
And that's it. I'm going to lay in bed and watch movies and get back at it tomorrow. Whee!
